How to take an assessment

  1. Choose your focus — Pick a domain below (e.g., Marketing, Operations, IT) or use a quick check-in for a fast pulse.
  2. Rate honestly — Respond 1–5 (1=Strongly Disagree … 5=Strongly Agree). Don’t overthink—go with your first accurate impression.
  3. Finish in one sitting — Deep diagnostics are ~8–12 minutes (100 items). Progress shows as you go; each page requires all items answered.
  4. Review your results — See overall + subscale scores, your strength anchors, and a 30-day action plan. Download PDF/CSV or save to your records.
How scoring works
  • Scale: 1–5 Likert (Agree/Disagree).
  • Reverse-keyed items: Marked “reverse” and auto-scored as 6 − response.
  • Subscales: 10 focused areas per assessment (10 items each) → mean score per subscale.
  • Overall score: Mean of the 10 subscale means.
  • Bands: Low ≤ 2.40 · Emerging 2.41–3.00 · Proficient 3.01–3.60 · Strong ≥ 3.61.
  • Action Plan: Auto-generates steps for any subscale < 3.0 and lists top 1–2 “anchors” to leverage.

Tip: Retake on a regular cadence to see trend lines (weekly for quick check-ins, monthly/quarterly for deep diagnostics).

Purpose & good practice
  • Purpose: Identify strengths, clarify friction, and commit to one small, measurable improvement per cycle.
  • Team use: Run individually, then discuss patterns; aggregate results to target processes—not people.
  • Accessibility: Plain language prompts, short pages, and mobile-friendly forms.
  • Data: You can export PDF/CSV or save via the embedded forms to keep longitudinal records.

Quick Check-Ins (2–3 min)

  • Energy, clarity, and momentum snapshot (1–5).
  • Use weekly to prevent drift and catch friction early.

Deep Diagnostics (8–12 min)

  • 100 items across 10 subscales per domain.
  • Monthly or quarterly; before/after major initiatives.
  • Produces subscale heatmaps, anchors, and a 30-day plan.

Analysis Methods
  • Reverse-scoring: Items labeled “reverse” are scored as 6 − response to keep higher = better.
  • Subscale heatmap: Compare 10 domain areas (means to 2 decimals) to locate bottlenecks and strengths.
  • Anchors: Your top 1–2 subscales; use them to support improvements elsewhere.
  • Cut bands: Low/Emerging/Proficient/Strong thresholds align to practical capability milestones.
  • Trend tracking: Export CSV or save entries to analyze changes over weeks and quarters.
Growth Formulas (examples)
  • Momentum = Clarity × Focus × Cadence
  • Pipeline Health = Qualified Leads × Win Rate × Avg Deal Value
  • Marketing Efficiency = Outcomes ÷ Spend (tagged by channel)
  • Service Quality = FCR − Repeat Contacts (adjusted for complexity)
  • Operational Flow = Throughput ÷ WIP (with stable cycle time)
  • Capital Stewardship = (Impact − Cost) ÷ Cost

Use your weakest subscale to pick 1 metric to improve by +0.20–0.30 over 30–60 days.
